Toronto Live Foundation (the “Foundation,” or “we,” “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the confidentiality of personal information of current and potential donors, employees, volunteers and other individuals. Protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information, which is any information about “you” as an identifiable individual, is fundamental to our relationship with you.

The personal information we collect directly from you may include:

  • methods and preferences of communications

  • Information required to make a donation (full name, residential address, and email)

  • Payment information and credit card numbers are processed via our third party payment processor – we do not have access to or store this information.

We collect information from you when you choose to make a donation via our website or otherwise contact us through our website or by telephone.

We will use your personal information:

  • to communicate with you,

  • to process your donations,

  • to inform patrons about schedule changes, event cancellations, upcoming events and special offers, and

  • any other purposes communicated to you at collection of the information or as requested by you.

TO Live Foundation will never sell your personal information. Information about your personal preferences is used to help us understand the programming and services that may be attractive to our patrons. From time to time we may send you information from other arts organizations that we believe may be of interest to you.

Sharing Information

Your information is only shared under the following circumstances:

  • when we have your consent to do so or when you request us to share your information,

  • with our staff, suppliers or agents who assist us in serving you, or

  • if we are required or permitted to do so by law.

We will protect your personal information with appropriate organizational and technical safeguards and security measures. Unfortunately, transmission of information is never completely secure and we cannot guarantee that your information will be.

We will retain your personal information only for the time it is required for the permitted purposes, or until you ask us to delete your information, which we will do unless we are required to retain it by law or in order to provide a service to you. When your personal information is no longer needed, we have procedures to either destroy or permanently de-identify the information.

Only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our donors.

All information we collect is stored on servers located in Canada. We use service providers, some of whom are located in the United States, who may have access to some of your personal information. While located in the United States, your data will be subject to US jurisdiction, including access by local law enforcement.
